Website Updates

We have included this updates page to be part of my RSS so that you can visit one section of the website for the latest news. RSS has been implemented but not every browser supports it (many browsers before 2005). We have updates appearing in this section to show what we have changed, added and even removed from the site.

The website is changing over time. The most recent updates include:

• We have improved says Alexa - Alexa is a website that shows the top websites around the world. Recently as have gone from the top 8 million to nearly the top 4 million. The stats read: 7 day avg 2,016,738, 1 month avg 3,675,656, 3 month avg 4,473,104, 3 month change -4,424,574 (UP). For a website that is only 13 months old, this has to be recognised as a leap forward.
• 100 downloads - Be counted - Here you can see a list of CAPTCHAs that have been downloaded on 100 occasions. To start off with, CAPTCHA SAM is the first to reach the 100 mark. Add your CAPTCHA to share with the community.
• Example Form 1 - For those of you that have not seen some of the posts on the forum, I've added this link on the feed. Feel free to download an example CAPTCHA with a form. By all means change the validation rules but this is a simple form with an integration of a CAPTCHA.
• CAPTCHA Alternatives - From a University report we have found some ways around the use of CAPTCHAs. CAPTCHAs serve a purpose, but are not the only method to prevent spam on websites. Have a read of this page and some pages from the report to help make your website more accessible to all.
• New Forum - We now have our own forum. This is not one from another company. This was made by the website author and will improve over time. The plan is to keep the website theme going across the site. Sign up to have your say.
